Overview
Lead the Process Translation and Execution team to translate API/DS process knowledge into clinical supply readiness. Oversee technology transfer and implement control strategies for diverse modalities. Drive scientific excellence and innovation within the Lilly Medicine Foundry construction and startup phase.
What You'll Do11
- 1Facilitate transfer of chemical processes from development labs to pilot plant operations
- 2Operate and troubleshoot kilo-scale equipment including reactors and filtration systems
- 3Apply chemical engineering principles to scale-up calculations and equipment sizing
- 4Develop filtration models to predict cake resistance and deliquoring performance
- 5Design and execute filtration wash studies and crystallization process improvements
- 6Receive and evaluate chemical processes from R&D labs ensuring safety collaboration
- 7Document SOPs batch records and campaign reports
- 8Perform definitive lab trials to confirm plant readiness
- 9Order and stage GMP consumables and equipment parts for kilolab runs
- 10Analyze data to make fact-based decisions and maintain detailed lab notebooks
- 11Identify process improvements and implement new technologies or procedures
Requirements11
- 1BS or MS in Chemical Engineering or related discipline
- 24+ years industry experience in pharmaceutical process development or pilot plant operations
- 3Authorized to work in the United States full-time
- 4Deep technical interest in chemical engineering and hands-on kilo-scale equipment operation
- 5Proficiency with DeltaV Dynochem Aspen and electronic lab notebooks
- 6Experience with crystallization development and filtration modeling
- 7Understanding of FDA guidelines and cGMP requirements
- 8Ability to prioritize tasks and manage ambiguity in dynamic environment
- 9Strong communication skills for technical reporting and cross-functional collaboration
- 10Problem-solving abilities demonstrated through data analysis and root cause investigations
- 11Experience with process development and scale-up in manufacturing settings
