What You'll Do9
- 1Architect end-to-end fuel systems including storage transfer venting and pressurization for autonomous aircraft
- 2Lead cross-functional integration between propulsion structures avionics and thermal teams
- 3Conduct system-level modeling to predict flow behavior vapor suppression slosh dynamics and thermal effects
- 4Define performance requirements and verification strategies for high-reliability components
- 5Oversee supplier selection qualification and acceptance testing for pumps valves tanks and sensors
- 6Support ground and flight test campaigns performing root-cause analysis for anomalies
- 7Mentor engineers establish best practices and develop integration testing processes
- 8Contribute to long-term technology roadmaps covering hybrid-electric and alternative fuel systems
- 9Ensure compliance with FAA and MIL-STD certification requirements and validation testing
Requirements7
- 1B.S. or M.S. in Aerospace Mechanical or related engineering discipline with 12–15+ years experience in aircraft fuel systems propulsion integration
- 2Expertise in fuel system design analysis and certification for manned or unmanned aircraft
- 3Deep understanding of fluid mechanics thermodynamics and CFD principles
- 4Proficiency with ANSYS Fluent OpenFOAM MATLAB/Simulink and CAD software NX CATIA or SolidWorks
- 5Strong technical leadership and mentoring experience within multidisciplinary teams
- 6Familiarity with FAA MIL-STD validation testing and security clearance requirements
- 7Active or prior security clearance preferred
