Primary Clinical Rater, Pediatric Psychiatry Research
Overview
Pediatric psychiatry research rater will support protocol assessments for children and adolescents at BNBA in Brookline MA. They will administer and score standardized psychiatric scales, ensure accurate documentation, and participate in rater training and calibration. The role blends clinical insight with research rigor within a multi-disciplinary team and offers exposure to CNS/psychiatry trials. This position emphasizes consistent assessment practices, GCP compliance, and quality data for pediatric trials.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build and administer protocol-required psychiatric assessments for pediatric participants
- 2Score assessments with standardized methods to ensure data quality
- 3Conduct structured clinical interviews with pediatric and adolescent participants
- 4Maintain consistent assessment administration and accurate scoring across visits
- 5Complete source documents and study records with attention to detail
- 6Participate in study-specific rater training, certification, and calibration
- 7Collaborate with investigators and the clinical research team
- 8Escalate clinically significant findings to the investigator when appropriate
- 9Maintain compliance with protocol, GCP, IRB, and BNBA Research requirements
- 10Support data integrity and timely completion of study milestones
Requirements10
- 1LCSW LICSW LMHC PhD MSW MHC or equivalent clinical/behavioral health qualification
- 2Bachelor's degree required
- 3Pediatric psychiatry clinical research experience within the past 12 months
- 4Demonstrated experience administering psychiatric rating scales in pediatric/adolescent trials
- 5Experience with pediatric mood disorders, Bipolar Disorder and/or Major Depressive Disorder preferred
- 6Knowledge of ICH-GCP and clinical research procedures
- 7Ability to complete study-specific rater training and qualification requirements
- 8Documented experience with multiple pediatric psychiatric assessments (K-SADS-PL CDRS-R C-SSRS YMRS CGI-S CGI-I HAM-A PQ-LES-Q AIMS BARS SAS)
- 9Recent hands-on experience with K-SADS-PL CDRS-R YMRS AIMS BARS SAS preferred
- 102+ years CNS/psychiatry clinical research experience and ability to serve as primary or independent rater in pediatric trials preferred
