Overview
Preventative Maintenance Technician/Mechanic owns scheduled service and repair for company vehicles and equipment in Balch Springs, TX. Report to the Shop Manager, work with a small team of mechanics to keep the fleet operational. This role suits a hands-on technician comfortable with hand tools, power tools, and routine diagnostics, with opportunities for overtime and growth. What You'll Do10
- 1Change oil, tires, and filters on vehicles and equipment weekly.
- 2Inspect brake systems, replace hoses and belts, and service battery terminals.
- 3Diagnose common vehicle issues, test-drive trucks, and document all service records.
- 4Clean and lubricate machinery, tools, and work areas to maintain safety and performance.
- 5Stock parts and supplies, and move tools and equipment to and from job sites.
- 6Use hand tools and power tools to install or replace parts and instruments.
- 7Support mechanics by holding tools, parts, and equipment during repairs.
- 8Follow operation manuals and manufacturer guidelines to service equipment.
- 9Maintain fluid levels and perform chassis lubrication on all assigned units.
- 10Drive trucks and pull trailers to and from job sites as needed.
Requirements8
- 12+ years of mechanic or preventive maintenance experience preferred.
- 2Valid Class A Driver License and clean driving record.
- 3Lift at least 50 lbs and comfortable with physical work.
- 4Strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills, and attention to detail.
- 5Effective communication in English.
- 6Willing to work overtime, weekdays 6:30am–5pm, and occasional travel.
- 7Wear steel toe boots and comply with dress code (no sleeveless shirts).
- 8Pass background check, drug screen, physical, and E-Verify.
