Overview
The City of Louisville seeks a passionate Preschool Teacher to foster early development of children ages 3–5 through a play-based program. What You'll Do9
- 1Create and sustain a balanced environment with predictable routines
- 2Design developmentally appropriate lessons aligned with a play-based philosophy
- 3Implement literacy math and science activities focusing on sharing taking turns and self-regulation
- 4Guide children through free play dramatic play projects and circle time
- 5Maintain inventory and purchase supplies
- 6Ensure safety of participants staff and equipment
- 7Collaborate with teachers to build cohesive educational programs
- 8Incorporate stories songs and dance to enhance learning
- 9Use effective classroom management techniques to support a positive atmosphere
Requirements5
- 1Current CPR First Aid and Universal Precautions certifications or ability to obtain within three months
- 2Minimum age 18 years old
- 3Pass a pre-placement physical substance screen and background investigation
- 4Strong vision including close color and peripheral vision with or without correction
- 5Ability to lift carry or handle objects up to 20 lbs frequently and 50 lbs occasionally
