Preschool Special Education Assessment Lead
Overview
Lead assessment process for all students at assigned school location. Chair meetings and support staff and parents. Oversee evaluation caseload of approximately 60 evaluations annually.
What You'll Do16
- 1Evaluate students at assigned school location
- 2Interpret test results and communicate findings to students parents and staff
- 3Participate in and lead team meetings
- 4Write testing reports according to regulations
- 5Participate in STAT MTSS process suggesting interventions and referrals
- 6Reside over Initial and Reevaluation Team meetings ensuring participation and documentation
- 7Monitor timelines to maintain compliance with special education mandates
- 8Troubleshoot issues with staff parents and other parties
- 9Stay current with special education law and district policies
- 10Maintain accurate records for each student following state and federal regulations
- 11Ensure file safety and confidentiality while assuring access for authorized personnel
- 12Perform duties assigned by building principal or Director of Special Education
- 13Maintain relationships with external agencies such as courts and counselors
- 14Assist students teachers and parents in accessing SPED resources
- 15Meet with educators to discuss student progress
- 16Help interpret student records for faculty and staff
Requirements6
- 1Massachusetts Certification
- 25+ years building ETL pipelines with Spark and Airflow
- 3Experience with AWS Certified
- 4Ability to instruct school students and maintain classroom order
- 5Commitment to continuous professional development
- 6Understanding of special education law and MTSS processes
