Overview
You will own daily classroom operations for mixed-age groups at Little Brook Learning Center in Baltimore, MD. You will craft and deliver developmentally appropriate lesson plans that target cognitive, emotional, social, and physical growth. What You'll Do8
- 1Design and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that target cognitive, emotional, social, and physical development
- 2Arrange classroom layouts and materials to encourage learning through play and exploration
- 3Build and update bulletin boards that reinforce monthly themes and student work
- 4Ensure the safety and well-being of all children during indoor and outdoor activities
- 5Maintain accurate daily records, including attendance, incident reports, and developmental observations
- 6Communicate regularly and professionally with parents, staff, and management about child progress and center updates
- 7Collaborate with co-teachers and aides to sustain a positive and productive classroom culture
- 8Handle additional duties as needed, such as sanitizing toys and preparing snacks, to keep the day running smoothly
Requirements6
- 11+ year of experience in a licensed childcare center or early learning setting
- 2Meet state requirements for early childhood education, including Preschool and Infant/Toddler certification
- 3Demonstrate ability to multitask and manage a busy classroom of young children
- 4Show knowledge of early childhood development and effective classroom management techniques
- 5Exhibit strong communication and interpersonal skills with parents, children, and colleagues
- 6Hold CPR and First Aid certification or be willing to obtain it before starting
