Preschool 2s Teacher, Part-Time Contract (Tues/Thurs)
Overview
Teach 2-Year-Olds two mornings per week, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:30-11 AM, September through June. Deliver a multi-sensory, developmentally appropriate curriculum in a small class setting. Collaborate with a team of educators at Village Lutheran Church's 4X BEST of Westchester Preschool. This part-time contract role offers the chance to integrate faith-based learning with early childhood development in a supportive community.
What You'll Do7
- 1Plan and execute hands-on activities that promote fine motor and gross motor development.
- 2Lead Bible stories through Godly Play, devotions, and conflict resolution exercises.
- 3Facilitate story time and social skills development through indoor and outdoor play.
- 4Guide children in building communication and independence through daily routines.
- 5Observe and assess each child's progress, adapting activities to meet individual needs.
- 6Communicate daily with parents regarding their child's experiences and milestones.
- 7Maintain a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment aligned with the school's mission.
Requirements7
- 1Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree in progress or completed preferred, preferably in Education or Early Childhood Education.
- 21-2 years teaching experience preferred, ideally in an early childhood classroom setting.
- 3CPR and First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
- 4Experience with Godly Play or similar faith-based curriculum a plus.
- 5Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective parent-teacher collaboration.
- 6Ability to work collaboratively within a team of educators.
- 7Creative, energetic, and passionate about fostering holistic child development.
