Prepared Foods Team Member, Grocery & Customer Service
Overview
You will own customer service and product freshness across the prepared foods department, including the salad bar, sandwich area, hot foods, and beverage bar. You will work with a supportive team and assist in deli and meat departments as needed. This role offers complete training and a path to leadership, with a focus on safety and quality. What You'll Do10
- 1Greet customers and fill orders to their exact specifications, ensuring satisfaction with every interaction.
- 2Learn product details to answer questions and make personalized suggestions that enhance the shopping experience.
- 3Maintain a friendly presence throughout the store, smiling and greeting customers in all areas.
- 4Handle products and equipment per Food Safety guidelines to ensure a safe shopping environment.
- 5Replenish prepared foods cases, rotate product, and follow code dating procedures to guarantee freshness.
- 6Record special orders accurately to delight customers with precisely prepared items.
- 7Keep the department and back room spotless, upholding hygiene standards.
- 8Assist with unloading deliveries and maintaining efficiency in the prepared foods cooler and freezer.
- 9Rotate and check code dates on all products to prioritize customer safety.
- 10Support other departments as needed, demonstrating teamwork and flexibility.
Requirements5
- 10-6 months of experience in a customer service or food service role.
- 2Food Safety experience is desired but not required.
- 3No high school diploma required.
- 4Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- 5At least 18 years of age.
