What You'll Do8

  • 1Verify insurance eligibility and obtain prior authorization numbers before appointment dates.
  • 2Obtain pre-certification upgrades and notify referring doctors' offices when authorizations are missing.
  • 3Contact patients to reschedule if pre-certification is not secured for the next day.
  • 4Greet patients in person and notify clinical staff of arrivals in the billing office.
  • 5Handle mail services, photocopying, scanning, and filing to support daily operations.
  • 6Initiate and prepare written correspondence for authorization and billing needs.
  • 7Collect fees due from patients and communicate payment requirements.

Requirements7

  • 11+ year of prior experience in a customer service focused role.
