What You'll Do10
- 1Build patrol routines to maintain order and safety on the hospital campus
- 2Issue traffic and parking citations and conduct investigations to preserve evidence
- 3Respond to medical emergencies and assist with fire drills and evacuations to protect occupants
- 4Provide security escorts for personnel and visitors and chauffeur division heads as requested
- 5Attend periodic training sessions and maintain proficiency in firearms and related equipment
- 6Conduct room searches, apprehend suspects, and participate in investigations as part of a multi-disciplinary team
- 7Assist in security operations during special events and high-visibility incidents
- 8Collaborate with hospital staff to enforce safety policies and ensure compliant security practices
- 9Perform other duties to meet client needs and ensure continuity of operations
- 10Maintain knowledge of applicable laws and regulations to support lawful and ethical security practices
Requirements7
- 1Be at least 21 years of age
- 2Active police officer not retired with valid certification
- 3High School Diploma or GED plus Police ID, VPEC, and Firearm certification
- 4North Carolina Basic Law Enforcement certification is required
- 5Ability to work in varied environments and lift up to 40 pounds occasionally
- 6Climb stairs, ramps, or ladders and stand or walk for long periods
- 7Attend required training sessions and maintain proficiency in firearms
