Overview
The Department of Surgery and Division of Podiatric Surgery at BIDMC seeks a full-time podiatric foot and ankle surgeon to lead clinical and surgical care at BIDMC and BILH network locations. Candidates must hold a CPME-accredited residency with extensive hindfoot reconstructive experience and be board certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery. Academic involvement is preferred. This role offers a faculty appointment at Harvard Medical School as Instructor or Assistant Professor part-time commensurate with experience.
What You'll Do9
- 1Own and execute complex hindfoot reconstructive surgeries
- 2Lead multidisciplinary teams for foot and ankle procedures
- 3Develop and perform evidence-based treatment protocols
- 4Mentor residents and fellows in surgical techniques
- 5Conduct research in podiatric surgery and present findings locally/nationally
- 6Provide clinical care across multiple hospital settings
- 7Participate in academic committees and curriculum development
- 8Collaborate with orthopedic surgeons and specialists
- 9Maintain high standards of patient safety and outcomes
Requirements6
- 1CPME-accredited residency with hindfoot reconstructive specialization
