Plumber, Commercial Piping Systems & Blueprint Reading
Overview
You will assemble, install, and repair piping systems for stormwater, sanitary, domestic water, medical fluids, acid waste, fuel oils, and heating water on commercial and industrial projects. You will work with PVC, ABS, CPVC, Copper, Cast Iron, Steel, and Stainless materials. What You'll Do8
- 1Assemble and install piping systems for stormwater, sanitary, domestic water, and medical fluids using PVC, ABS, CPVC, Copper, and Cast Iron.
- 2Repair and maintain piping systems for acid waste, fuel oils, fuel gases, and heating water to meet code and client specs.
- 3Install and repair fixtures and equipment for stormwater removal, sanitary disposal, laboratory disposal, drinking water, and medical waste.
- 4Read and apply plumbing codes, specifications, submittals, and blueprints on each project.
- 5Fabricate and fit pipe sections using soldering and pipe fitting techniques for Copper and Steel systems.
- 6Coordinate with project teams to ensure plumbing installations align with construction schedules.
- 7Inspect and test installed systems for leaks and compliance with safety standards.
- 8Operate and maintain basic plumbing hand tools and power tools provided by the company.
Requirements7
- 15+ years of commercial plumbing installation experience.
- 2Proficiency in plumbing, construction, piping, and blueprint reading.
- 3Hands-on experience with PVC, Cast Iron, soldering, and pipe fitting.
- 4OSHA 10 certification.
- 5Own basic plumbing hand tools and personal protective equipment: type 2 hard hat, high visibility wear, safety glasses, gloves, and steel-toed boots.
- 6Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle for daily job site travel.
- 7Willingness to work first shift, Monday to Friday, with minimal Saturdays.
