Player Assistant, Seasonal at Golf Course
Overview
Seasonal role patrolling a golf course to ensure smooth play and assist injured players at a municipal golf facility. You will monitor golfers, enforce course rules, and provide help at the clubhouse and practice areas. This role operates outdoors across the course with a focus on safety and guest service. You’ll join a small team under the supervision of the Pro Shop Manager and contribute to a positive guest experience during a peak season.
What You'll Do11
- 1Build presence on the course to monitor play and enforce rules
- 2Drive to inspect course facilities and equipment each shift
- 3Assist injured players and transport equipment to the clubhouse
- 4Greet golfers and inform them of events and clinics
- 5Report incidents to the Golf Course Supervisor and keep attendance records
- 6Hand out water bottles and ice as needed during rounds
- 7Check driving range, ball washers, rakes and other equipment for condition
- 8Review the day play sheet and prep the course before play begins
- 9Monitor slower players and maintain smooth pace of play
- 10Maintain safety and cleanliness across practice facilities and course
- 11Support startup and end-of-shift checks with Starter
Requirements7
- 1High school diploma or GED
- 2Must have golf experience and understanding of golf rules
- 3Excellent interpersonal skills and customer service experience
- 4Ability to drive a golf cart for extended periods
- 5Ability to work outdoors in hot or cold weather
- 6Physically able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform frequent movement
- 7Must be able to communicate effectively and follow instructions
