Overview
Oversee all operations at a Union City, CA plant for IRCA, a global leader in semi-finished ingredients. Lead strategy, performance, and continuous improvement across the site. Direct a cross-functional team to ensure safe, efficient production for the bakery, pastry, and gelato sectors. This role connects plant performance to group strategy and customer value.
What You'll Do10
- 1Develop and execute plant strategy aligned with the master schedule and growth plans.
- 2Drive a performance management discipline using data to identify gaps and recognize achievements.
- 3Align plant priorities with manufacturing and commercial leadership to inform company decisions.
- 4Share best practices across the plant network and participate in the Plant Leadership community.
- 5Resolve issues that impact plant performance by partnering with QSHE, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Procurement.
- 6Improve plant organizational health through clear engagement plans and actions.
- 7Lead productivity improvements in asset management, performance, and efficiency.
- 8Embed a continuous improvement mindset across the plant, driving initiatives.
- 9Lead change initiatives such as automation, digital, and sustainability projects.
- 10Collaborate with NPD processes, partnering with RDA and commercial to manage cost, service, and OTIF.
Requirements9
- 18+ years in food manufacturing plant operations at a leadership level.
- 2BA/BS in Engineering, Business, or Food Science preferred.
- 3Track record as a change agent implementing continuous improvement and accountability programs.
- 4Hands-on leader who actively engages in daily operational challenges.
- 5Proven success in assessing, developing, and retaining top talent.
- 6Ability to drive process improvements, adhere to budgets, and maintain regulatory compliance.
- 7Financial acumen with budget or capital spend experience.
- 8Fluent in English and Spanish (verbal and written).
- 9Strategic thinker with skills in change management, critical thinking, and cost focus.
