Planned Giving Assistant Development Officer
Overview
CHOP seeks a skilled professional to provide high-level support for divisional fundraising programs in Major Gifts under the direction of a Director of Development. The Assistant Development Officer will serve as a key liaison between fundraising team members, division staff, Foundation colleagues, and external stakeholders while directly working with donors and families to advance the mission of the division.
What You'll Do11
- 1Assist in creating proposals and stewardship reports in partnership with donor relations
- 2Prepare briefing materials for development colleagues clinical and institutional leadership and support donor meeting follow up
- 3Collaborate with Prospect Management to identify and engage new prospective donors
- 4Manage donor qualification and referral processes
- 5Partner with Directors of Development and clinical teams to understand goals and learn about programs research clinical care and family support initiatives
- 6Contribute to strong working relationships in Individual Giving and across the entire Foundation
- 7Interface with community fundraising corporate and foundation relations to ensure engagement of fundraising foundations and related groups
- 8Build and maintain a small active portfolio of donors below $100k
- 9Navigate complex environments through collaboration and clear communication with key stakeholders
- 10Demonstrate superior attention to detail in accurate task completion to maintain faculty and donor satisfaction
- 11Persuasively promote the Hospital`s mission in patient care program development education and research
Requirements9
- 1Bachelor`s Degree
- 2At least three (3) years related job experience
- 3At least three (3) years development experience in a hospital or healthcare organization
- 45+ years building ETL pipelines with Spark and Airflow
- 5Strong written presentation verbal organizational and interpersonal skills
- 6Empathetic communications style based on natural warmth and enthusiasm
- 7Fast-paced and results oriented with ability to meet deadlines and compete with multiple priorities
- 8Travel local and regional required
- 9Annual influenza vaccine required for employees working in patient care buildings or with patient facing responsibilities
