What You'll Do11
- 1Provide patient treatment and care activities for routine and complex patients as directed by a therapist from a predetermined treatment plan
- 2Educate patients on therapeutic exercises and assist with transfers using appropriate assistive devices
- 3Collaborate with therapists and staff to prepare patients for treatment and administer modalities under supervision
- 4Maintain accurate patient progress documentation and prepare charge records
- 5Conduct safety checks of work areas and equipment reporting deficiencies immediately
- 6Clean and disinfect equipment after each patient session following established protocols
- 7Schedule and transport patients using wheelchairs or gurneys throughout the facility
- 8Remove and reapply dressings and bandages while adhering to infection control standards
- 9Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to team discussions
- 10Support clinical operations and administrative tasks as needed
- 11Assist with miscellaneous assignments and support staff initiatives
Requirements11
- 1Minimum 5 years clinical experience as a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant with American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support certification
- 2Strong knowledge of anatomy physiology and ability to monitor patient physiological status during treatment
- 3Proficiency in preparing patients for treatment and applying various physical therapy modalities under therapist supervision
- 4Experience with patient transportation using wheelchairs or gurneys
- 5Ability to document patient progress and prepare accurate charge documentation
- 6Commitment to maintaining a safe and clean work environment
- 7Demonstrated teamwork and communication skills with frequent patient interaction
- 8Capacity to handle multiple concurrent tasks in a fast paced setting
- 9Understanding of departmental policies and procedures for patient care
- 10Willingness to work occasional overtime weekends and holidays
- 11Background check clearance required prior to employment
