
Physical Security Engineer, PACS & API Integration
Overview
Design and own the integration architecture for physical access control systems (PACS) at scale across enterprise locations. You will bridge badge events with HR, payroll, and ERP platforms. Your stack spans OnGuard OpenAccess, Genetec SDK, CCURE APIs, and cloud services like AWS. You will collaborate with IT, security, and HR teams to automate on/offboarding and time validation. This role drives operational efficiency through real-time event streaming and identity synchronization.
What You'll Do7
- 1Build REST and webhook/event streaming integrations for PACS feeds, including OnGuard OpenAccess, Genetec SDK, and CCURE APIs.
- 2Lead the integration of PACS with HR and identity systems like Workday and Active Directory/Entra ID for automated on/offboarding.
- 3Design and deploy event-driven pipelines to feed badge events into payroll and ERP systems such as SAP, UKG, and ADP for time validation.
- 4Architect secure OAuth 2.0 authentication flows for all API connections, ensuring compliance with security policies.
- 5Manage the full lifecycle of integration projects, from requirements gathering through deployment and monitoring.
- 6Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define integration standards and best practices for physical security.
- 7Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues, optimizing performance and reliability of event streams.
Requirements8
- 15+ years in physical security systems integration or API engineering.
- 2Deep expertise with REST APIs, webhooks, and event streaming architectures.
- 3Hands-on experience with OnGuard OpenAccess, Genetec SDK, or CCURE APIs.
- 4Proven track record integrating PACS with Workday and Active Directory/Entra ID for automated identity lifecycle.
- 5Strong background in cloud architecture, specifically AWS, with experience in serverless and event-driven patterns.
- 6Knowledge of OAuth 2.0, SAML, and identity federation protocols.
- 7Familiarity with payroll and ERP integrations (e.g., SAP, UKG, ADP) for time and attendance.
- 8Ability to work onsite in Columbus, Ohio, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
