This temp-to-hire role places you on day or night shifts, where you diagnose faults in electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems and keep automation cells running at peak output. What You'll Do10

  • 1Perform scheduled inspections to keep production equipment in optimal condition and head off failures on PV lines.
  • 2Document daily operations and maintenance activities clearly and on time, ensuring accurate shift logs.
  • 3Diagnose irregularities in electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and automation systems; isolate root causes and restore operation within shift.
  • 4Assist with mechanical alignment and setup during equipment installs using hoists, jacks, squares, rulers, micrometers, and plumb bobs.
  • 5Support commissioning and repair of newly introduced equipment, working with LOTO protocols to ensure safety.
  • 6Respond promptly to maintenance requests; complete high-quality repairs and verify results to minimize downtime.
  • 7Execute preventive maintenance to extend equipment life and boost utilization on critical PV manufacturing tools.
  • 8Generate and interpret equipment data; communicate clear reports to leadership on trends and recurring issues.
  • 9Coach junior personnel and share best practices across shifts to elevate team capability.
  • 10Take on special projects as assigned by management, such as process improvements or equipment upgrades.

Requirements10

  • 11-2+ years in high-volume manufacturing, with photovoltaic or semiconductor experience a plus.
  • 2Technical diploma, associate degree, or higher in machinery, electronics, or automation.
  • 3Hands-on troubleshooting across electrical, mechanical, and automation domains.
  • 4Solid understanding of pneumatic systems and hands-on repair.
  • 5Skilled with shop equipment, bench tools, hand tools, and test/inspection instruments.
  • 6Level 2: Independently solves complex equipment malfunctions with minimal supervision.
  • 7Level 2: Trains and mentors junior technicians effectively, with deep understanding of machine architecture.
  • 8Preferred: Electrical troubleshooting and repair, pneumatics troubleshooting, industrial electrical experience.
  • 9Preferred: Photovoltaic/solar module repair exposure and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) certification.
  • 10Technical troubleshooting mindset with a passion for precision and reliability.
