What You'll Do7
- 1Deliver comprehensive pharmacy services to inpatient pediatric patients, ensuring accurate and timely medication distribution.
- 2Calculate and verify pediatric and neonatal intensive care dosages, adjusting for weight and clinical status.
- 3Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize medication therapy management for pediatric patients.
- 4Utilize Epic EMR to document orders, verify medications, and maintain accurate patient records.
- 5Rotate weekend coverage as scheduled, ensuring 24/7 pharmacy support.
- 6Address clinical questions from nursing and medical staff regarding pediatric drug compatibility and dosing.
- 7Monitor patient responses and adjust therapy in coordination with physicians.
Requirements5
- 1Current Florida pharmacist license in good standing.
- 25+ years of pediatric and NICU pharmacy experience (resume must reflect relevant duties).
- 3Familiarity with inpatient pharmacy responsibilities, including pediatric dosing.
- 4Experience working with Epic electronic medical records system.
- 5Ability to work either the day shift (12:30 PM to 9:00 PM) or overnight shift (11:00 PM to 7:15 AM) with rotating weekends.
