Pet Sitter / Dog Walker - Main Line PA
Overview
You will care for dogs, cats, and other pets in clients' homes across the Main Line, ensuring their safety and comfort while owners are away. This is a flexible, part-time role with an established local company, offering steady work and paid training. You'll work independently, building relationships with pets and their families, and use a dedicated pet-care app to send updates. What You'll Do7
- 1Walk dogs through neighborhoods, parks, and trails, tailoring routes to each dog's energy and needs.
- 2Visit pets in their homes, following client instructions for feeding, watering, and medication administration.
- 3Spend quality time playing, exercising, and comforting animals to keep them happy and engaged.
- 4Clean litter boxes and handle routine pet-care tasks to maintain a clean and hygienic home environment.
- 5Administer medications to pets when properly trained and as directed by clients.
- 6Send clients photos and visit updates through the pet-care app after every visit.
- 7Handle simple home requests like bringing in mail or watering plants while clients are away.
Requirements7
- 1Residence in or near the Main Line area with reliable personal transportation.
- 2Valid driver's license and current personal auto insurance.
- 3Comfort working outdoors in all weather conditions and able to complete a background check.
- 4Hands-on experience caring for dogs, cats, or other pets, whether professional, volunteer, fostering, or personal.
- 5Organized and trustworthy with attention to detail, and able to work without direct supervision.
- 6Comfortable communicating with clients and office team via phone and app.
- 7Available to work at least some weekends and holidays, with a minimum six-month commitment preferred.
