What You'll Do9
- 1Assess patient health through interviews and physical exams
- 2Identify short term and long range patient care issues
- 3Perform therapeutic procedures including immunizations and wound care
- 4Instruct and counsel patients on therapeutic regimens
- 5Exercise professional judgment regarding specialist consultations
- 6Manage referrals prescribe medications and equipment
- 7Supervise medical and PA students during clinic training
- 8Act as supervising physician for physician assistants
- 9Contribute to team efforts through on call duties and hospital hours
Requirements5
- 1Board certification with recognized organization
- 2MD or DO degree from four year undergraduate program
- 3Residency completion in pediatrics
- 4Board eligibility or certification within two years of contract start
- 5Completion of annual continuing education requirements
