Patient Outcome Manager, Mental Health Intake
Overview
As the Patient Outcome Manager, you own the first therapeutic contact with each patient at Amen Clinics, guiding them from initial inquiry through treatment implementation. You build a supportive coaching relationship, conduct comprehensive mental health intake interviews, and ensure every patient feels heard and cared for. Working within a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, therapists, and wellness coaches, you translate intake data into actionable insights for accurate diagnosis. This role centers on compassionate patient care and meticulous documentation, with a focus on tailoring interactions to each individual's symptoms and treatment plan.
What You'll Do7
- 1Explain appointment procedures to patients and their families during initial inquiry.
- 2Assess intake paperwork, clarify answers, and transfer data into the patient's history report.
- 3Gather complete medical, psychiatric, educational, professional, and family history, including drug and alcohol history.
- 4Perform mental status exams and score checklists, then compile results into a typed report within two hours of the appointment.
- 5Review treatment recommendations with patients and answer questions about the physician's report.
- 6Assess patient needs and provide relevant support, including coaching and check-ins.
- 7Assist with special assignments as time permits.
Requirements8
- 1Bachelor's Degree in psychology or related field.
- 2Mental health intake experience and familiarity with medical terminology and office operations.
- 3Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, typing 45-50 wpm.
- 4Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- 5Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- 6Strong time management and prioritization skills.
- 7Caring, conscientious, and empathetic demeanor when handling sensitive patient information.
- 8Skill in tailoring interviews and coaching sessions to each patient's responses and treatment plan.
