What You'll Do7

  • 1Coordinate patient scheduling, referrals, and follow-ups for NIH clinical programs, ensuring timely care delivery.
  • 2Serve as the primary liaison between patients, clinical staff, and administrative teams, resolving issues within 24 hours.
  • 3Manage patient intake processes, including documentation, record maintenance, and EHR data entry.
  • 4Track patient interactions using established systems, generating weekly reports on care coordination metrics.
  • 5Support patients with timely information on appointments, procedures, and research protocols.
  • 6Adhere to HIPAA and privacy regulations, safeguarding sensitive patient data in every interaction.
  • 7Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline care workflows and reduce patient wait times.

Requirements9

  • 11+ year experience in patient coordination, healthcare administration, or clinical support.
  • 2Associate degree in a related field; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 3Proficiency with EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner) or similar data systems.
  • 4Knowledge of HIPAA compliance standards and healthcare privacy regulations.
  • 5Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
  • 6Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
  • 7Familiarity with healthcare workflows, referrals, and care management processes.
  • 8Must obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance; active clearance preferred.
  • 9Ability to work onsite at NIH campus in Bethesda or Baltimore, with up to 10% travel.
