What You'll Do10
- 1Greet patients, customers, and vendors with a warm, professional demeanor, setting the tone for every visit.
- 2Manage inbound calls, emails, and digital inquiries, resolving issues or routing them to the right team member.
- 3Build and adjust the daily appointment schedule in EMR, filling cancellations and same-day openings to maximize provider utilization.
- 4Execute confirmation and reminder workflows to cut no-shows and prepare patients for their visits.
- 5Verify insurance eligibility and demographics before appointments, updating EMR with accurate patient data.
- 6Explain insurance coverage, benefits, and out-of-pocket costs to patients, ensuring they understand their financial responsibility.
- 7Assemble patient charts and required documents prior to each visit, enabling smooth clinical handoffs.
- 8Collect copays, charges, and payments, record them in EMR, and support claim preparation and submission.
- 9Monitor daily patient flow and provider schedules, spotting delays and reallocating resources to keep wait times low.
- 10Support retention through recall and reactivation outreach, booking annual and medically necessary follow-ups.
Requirements7
- 1High school diploma or equivalent, with basic computer literacy and ability to learn EMR systems.
- 21+ years in a medical or dental front office, handling scheduling and patient intake.
- 3Strong organizational skills, managing multiple priorities with meticulous attention to detail.
- 4Excellent verbal and written communication, focused on patient-centered service.
- 5Ability to work collaboratively across clinical and optical teams in a fast-paced environment.
- 6Proactive problem-solving, identifying scheduling bottlenecks and proposing solutions.
- 7Maintain strict patient and practice confidentiality per HIPAA guidelines.
