The Medical Receptionist role serves as the first point of contact for patients while supporting clinical operations and outreach initiatives. This position offers part‑time hours within a diverse healthcare environment serving multiple communities.
What You'll Do9
- 1Greet patients and visitors in person and by phone and respond to inquiries
- 2Schedule appointments and optimize provider time and room utilization
- 3Prepare medical charts and verify eligibility for Medi‑Cal or health plans
- 4Maintain patient records and update personal and financial information
- 5Collect payments when applicable and ensure confidentiality
- 6Support clinic operations by following procedures and reporting changes
- 7Answer phones promptly and distribute messages
- 8Assist with creating flyers and monthly newsletters to promote health awareness
- 9Help with general clerical and maintenance tasks as needed
Requirements6
- 1Bilingual in Bengali/Bangla required
- 2High School Diploma or GED from a WASC‑accredited school
- 3Minimum 1+ year experience in front‑medical clinic settings or related field
- 4Pass Basic Clerical Skills Test
- 5Valid California driver’s license insurance and reliable transportation
- 6Willingness to travel to mobile clinic sites as needed
