What You'll Do9
- 1Prepare nutritious meals according to approved menus and recipes
- 2Cook diverse foods in large quantities while ensuring quality and consistency
- 3Follow portion control guidelines and prepare therapeutic special diets
- 4Prepare pureed meals as needed and record temperature compliance
- 5Maintain a clean organized sanitary kitchen and manage sanitation buckets
- 6Ensure appealing food presentation and complete all cleaning schedules
- 7Collaborate with staff across departments and report resident concerns
- 8Participate in orientation and train dietary staff
- 9Supervise kitchen staff when the Dietary Supervisor is absent
Requirements5
- 15+ years experience in hospital or long term care kitchens
- 2High school diploma or equivalent required
- 3Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation protocols
- 4Ability to prepare therapeutic diets and modify meals appropriately
- 5Strong organizational and teamwork skills for fast paced settings
