Overview
Own the safe transport of passengers with disabilities across Atlanta, operating in a 24/7 environment. Drive non-CDL paratransit vehicles, manage boarding, securement, and de-boarding with mobility devices. Work with dispatch, complete trip documentation, and uphold DOT and ADA compliance. This role demands strict attendance and flexibility across all shifts, with mandatory 4-week paid training.
What You'll Do8
- 1Transport passengers safely on assigned routes and manifests, adapting to daily schedules
- 2Assist passengers with boarding, securement, and de-boarding, including mobility devices like wheelchairs and walkers
- 3Operate vehicles in full compliance with DOT, ADA, and company regulations, using defensive driving at all times
- 4Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections, reporting defects immediately to dispatch
- 5Maintain real-time communication with the control center and respond to service disruptions
- 6Document each trip accurately, including manifests and incident reports
- 7Resolve passenger concerns professionally, ensuring a customer-focused experience
- 8Keep the vehicle clean, safe, and presentable throughout every shift
Requirements9
- 121+ years of age
- 2Valid Georgia driver's license with no suspensions or serious violations
- 36 months to 1 year of verifiable professional driving experience (paratransit, shuttle, bus, medical transport, or similar)
- 4Pass a criminal background check, DOT physical, and drug/alcohol screening
- 5Maintain a valid DOT medical card throughout employment
- 6Speak, read, and understand English proficiently
- 7Fully available for all shifts, with start times between 3:00 AM and 4:00 PM
- 8Complete mandatory 4-week new hire training with full attendance
- 9Submit a comprehensive resume with complete employment history, including company names, titles, and month/year dates
