Paralegal Employment Litigation
Overview
You will own case management from initiation through trial for an Employment Litigation practice at a respected law firm, handling 3-5 active cases with trial preparation and discovery as core duties. You will join a team of 5+ attorneys and paralegals across Philadelphia, Princeton, and Wilmington, reporting to the lead litigation partner. This role differs by offering direct client contact and end-to-end ownership of case workflows, with a clear path to senior paralegal.
What You'll Do9
- 1Draft, review, file, and manage pleadings, motions, discovery requests, subpoenas, and correspondence in Microsoft Office and legal case management systems.
- 2Coordinate discovery: document collection, review, organization, and production using Relativity or Concordance.
- 3Build and maintain case files, litigation calendars, and critical deadlines to ensure no missed filings.
- 4Prepare materials for depositions, hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials, including exhibit lists and witness binders.
- 5Communicate with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and vendors to keep cases moving.
- 6Track case developments and provide weekly status reports to attorneys.
- 7Conduct legal and factual research using Westlaw or LexisNexis to support motions and briefs.
- 8Assist with witness and trial preparation, including coordinating logistics and managing trial exhibits.
- 9Support employment-related litigation matters such as discrimination, harassment, and wage claims.
Requirements9
- 13+ years of paralegal experience, with strong litigation experience across state and federal courts.
- 2Bachelor's degree and/or Paralegal Certificate required.
- 3Experience managing discovery and litigation document workflows, including e-discovery tools.
- 4Excellent written, verbal, organizational, and time-management skills.
- 5Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a high-volume caseload.
- 6Microsoft Office proficiency and familiarity with legal case management systems.
- 7Trial preparation experience preferred.
- 8Employment law experience preferred, with knowledge of EEOC and DOL procedures.
- 9Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Salary Insight
$70 - $90k per year
