Overview
You will build and wire industrial control panels and enclosures from start to finish, using electrical schematics to ensure accuracy and quality. Your work powers machinery in manufacturing environments, with panels ranging from a few inches to 8 feet tall. You will join a clean, climate-controlled facility in Hanover Park, IL, with steady first-shift hours and an employee-owned culture. What You'll Do10
- 1Interpret electrical schematics to plan and execute panel layouts, enclosures, and boxes.
- 2Layout racks and rails, determining spacing and mounting locations to support internal components.
- 3Drill and tap holes in panels and enclosures to mount push buttons, power supplies, and motor controls.
- 4Wire push buttons, power supplies, and motor controls per schematics and company standards.
- 5Build and wire industrial control panels from start to finish, ensuring accuracy and quality.
- 6Install Rittal cabinets and Eaton components as part of the panel build process.
- 7Wire all internal connections, verifying continuity and proper terminations against wiring diagrams.
- 8Connect completed panels to machinery, coordinating with team members for proper integration.
- 9Prepare panels for shipment, labeling and organizing them for customer delivery.
- 10Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow safety procedures throughout the build.
Requirements6
- 12+ years building and wiring electrical panels per electrical schematics.
- 2Proven ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
- 3Hands-on experience as a panel builder or with industrial control panels.
- 4Strong electrical assembly skills, including proper termination, routing, and labeling.
- 5Ownership of standard panel building tools, with major tools provided by employer.
- 6General electrical knowledge consistent with electrician or electrical assembler work.
