Overnight Addiction Technician, Residential Treatment
Overview
You will supervise clients in our social-model residential treatment program, ensuring a safe, supportive, and caring environment. You will enforce program rules, conduct orientation, and administer drug tests. You will collaborate with clinical staff to promote client recovery. This role demands cultural sensitivity and knowledge of the treatment process. Make a direct impact on client well-being and safety during overnight hours.
What You'll Do9
- 1Enforce program rules and guidelines to maintain a safe and structured environment.
- 2Orient new residents on safety drills, fire extinguisher locations, evacuation maps, and first-aid kits.
- 3Administer client drug tests, including direct observation and onsite result reporting.
- 4Build rapport with clients through effective communication in a treatment setting.
- 5Transport clients to off-site activities such as 12-step meetings, appointments, and outings.
- 6Report safety hazards, facility issues, and vehicle repairs to the Safety Officer.
- 7Document and report critical incidents, behavioral issues, and medication errors immediately.
- 8Lead emergency drills and participate in annual health and safety training.
- 9Ensure clients complete daily chores and housekeeping responsibilities.
Requirements8
- 1High School Diploma or GED.
- 2Valid driver's license if driving.
- 3Minimum RAD-T certification.
- 4Knowledge of community self-help programs, including 12-Step AA/NA and faith-based support.
- 5Cultural sensitivity and understanding of diverse client backgrounds.
- 6Familiarity with problems and issues faced by clients in addiction treatment.
- 7Ability to establish cooperative working relationships with staff.
- 8Completion of annual health and safety training.
