Oral Surgeon, Part-Time Military Clinics

Overview

You will perform a wide scope of oral surgery procedures for military families, veterans, and federal employees in modern, fully digitalized clinics on Army and Air Force bases. You will work with a fully staffed clinical team, 2-4 days per month, and enjoy clinical autonomy with no after-hours or on-call duties. This role combines DMD or DDS expertise with a mission-driven culture, offering competitive daily compensation or percentage of production, malpractice coverage, and flexible scheduling.

What You'll Do7

  • 1Perform routine and surgical extractions, alveoloplasty, and other dentoalveolar surgeries on a steady patient base.
  • 2Provide in-office sedation as credentialed, using CPR/BLS and DEA licenses to ensure patient safety.
  • 3Collaborate with general dentists and dental assistants to deliver efficient care, leveraging digital radiography and Itero scanners.
  • 4Document clinical findings and treatment plans in digital patient charts, maintaining accurate records.
  • 5Follow infection control protocols and safety procedures to uphold a high standard of care.
  • 6Maintain professionalism and efficiency in a clinical setting serving military families.
  • 7Manage a patient schedule of 1-2 Saturdays per month, with potential to increase.

Requirements6

  • 1DMD or DDS from an accredited U.S. dental program.
  • 2Completed Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery residency and board certification or eligibility.
  • 3Active, unrestricted state dental license.
  • 4CPR/BLS certification.
  • 5DEA license if performing sedation or prescribing medication.
  • 6Ability to pass background screening, drug testing, and obtain Real ID for base access.
