Optometric Technician, Medical Assistant in Houston
Overview
As an Optometric Technician at MyEyeDr., you own patient prep and preliminary testing, supporting Doctors of Optometry in a high-volume Houston clinic. You work with a collaborative team of Techs, Doctors, and Office Managers, reporting to the Office General Manager and supporting Optometrists directly. This role includes some weekend and evening shifts, with full training provided for the right candidate. You will master pretest equipment and vision screening to keep patient flow smooth from check-in to exam.
What You'll Do5
- 1Chart medical history and document conditions to prep for Optometrist exams
- 2Maintain patient flow to Doctors and staff throughout appointments
- 3Use pretest equipment to run visual screenings for patients

Requirements5
- 1High School Diploma or GED with basic math skills
- 2Personable and able to comfort patients during screenings

- 5Prior healthcare or medical background preferred but not required
