What You'll Do8

- 3Conduct lab quality checks to ensure lens accuracy.
- 4Document patient records in Crystal PM with HIPAA compliance.
- 5Teach patients lens care, frame adjustments, and eye exam frequency.
- 6Drive retail sales of eyewear and accessories to boost clinic revenue.
- 7Apply aseptic techniques in clinical procedures to maintain safety.
- 8Partner with optometrists on medical coding and billing for optical services.
Requirements8
- 11+ years as an Optician or in a retail optical role with strong math skills.
- 2Knowledge of optometric principles, eye anatomy, and medical terminology.
- 3Familiarity with optical equipment and lab techniques.
- 4Ability to run EMR systems like Crystal PM with HIPAA standards.
- 5Clear communication for patients of all ages, including pediatrics and seniors.
- 6Basic grasp of medical billing and coding for optical claims.
- 7Experience in clinic environments with vital signs and medical records.
- 8Organized with attention to detail in a fast-paced clinic.
