Optical Technician - Atlanta GA
Overview
Lead the Total Patient Experience at Clarkson Eyecare in Atlanta, Georgia. Build relationships with patients while maximizing retail sales and supporting medical needs. Operate in a clinical setting with opportunities to travel.
What You'll Do11
- 1Embrace and execute our Total Patient Experience to build relationships with all patients while delivering great medical support
- 2Determine patient wants and needs and sell to exceed their expectations
- 3Assist patients in selecting frames based on style color and coordinate with facial and eye measurements
- 4Operate the auto-lensometer and manual lensometer
- 5Educate and recommend specific lenses coatings and frames to suit patient needs
- 6Accurately collect measurements such as bridge eye size temple length seg heights vertex distance pupillary distance and pantoscopic tilt
- 7Dispense patient orders and repair and adjust patient frames
- 8Dispense all glasses and/or contact lens orders using current process
- 9Maintain favorable result on background check as required by state
- 10Provide proof of identity and right to work in the United States
- 11Maintain high standards of visual and auditory acuity including color depth and peripheral vision
Requirements7
- 1High school diploma or GED required
- 2Minimum of 1 year in customer interaction or equivalent education and experience
- 3Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Word PowerPoint Outlook
- 4Ability to lift carry push and pull items up to 25 lbs
- 5Strong fine motor skills and full use of hands for constant grasping typing and technology use
- 6Previous medical office experience preferred but ophthalmic experience strongly preferred
- 7Bold certifications such as CPC Card BCBA AWS Certified are preferred
