Ops Technician Edge Services
Overview
Lead and support high volume print operations for Navy Federal Business Units and staff. Ensure equipment reliability while delivering time efficient results. Provide mentorship and maintain safe work environments.
What You'll Do19
- 1Produce and deliver high volume scheduled and on demand print projects
- 2Receive print production work orders analyzing size complexity and finishing requirements prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
- 3Consult with leadership daily on production schedules adjust plans to meet deadlines
- 4Access and run print ready files using appropriate materials and equipment
- 5Provide layout support using imposition technology to optimize production efficiency
- 6Ensure quality standards are met throughout production escalating issues as needed
- 7Identify errors and take corrective action consulting management on recurring problems
- 8Validate packaging of finished projects and inspect documentation
- 9Develop knowledge of printing and bindery services through education and conferences
- 10Maintain Print Operations equipment perform daily weekly and monthly maintenance
- 11Provide a clean efficient and safe working environment
- 12Diagnose equipment problems and perform minor repairs consulting leadership when needed
- 13Complete weekly inventories using word processing and spreadsheets consulting leadership for supply readiness
- 14Log and report meter readings daily when assigned
- 15Mentor and train team members serve as technical resource for bindery assignments
- 16Operate material handling equipment for supporting tasks
- 17Monitor workflow issues and escalate to management
- 18Power down equipment daily and ensure proper storage at shift end
- 19Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements11
- 1Operating and maintaining bindery equipment
- 2Working knowledge of printing bindery functions
- 3Ability to interpret specifications and follow verbal directions
- 4Strong communication and organizational skills
- 5Independent work ability with teamwork capability
- 6Initiative and decision making skills
- 7Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat Microsoft Suite and related programs
- 8Experience with digital presses large format printers laminators and bindery equipment
- 9Familiarity with paper vinyl and other print materials
- 10Understanding client printing requirements
- 11Software skills including Adobe Illustrator Photoshop InDesign and Acrobat Pro
