Operations Manager Trainee, Leadership Development Program
Overview
You will own a 5-month structured leadership development program, preparing you for a front-line Operations Manager role. You will spend the majority of your day in the field, coaching frontline employees and learning daily operations. You will work alongside Operations Improvement Managers, Fleet Managers, and Sales Managers to master dispatch, routing, and safety systems. This program offers a clear path to leadership, with a focus on hands-on experience and financial profitability. You will leave with the skills to lead teams and improve customer satisfaction in a stable, people-first company.
What You'll Do8
- 1Complete the assigned OMT training curriculum and all other assigned training within 5 months.
- 2Provide timely and consistent touchpoints with frontline employees to enhance daily performance.
- 3Partner with Drivers and Technicians to develop job-related skills and improve operational efficiency.
- 4Actively practice and seek feedback on coaching conversations with all frontline managers.
- 5Collaborate with Operations Improvement Manager, Fleet Manager, Sales Manager, District Managers, and Operations Managers to learn day-to-day business operations.
- 6Develop knowledge of DOT and OSHA safety programs and systems, operational business processes, tools, performance management, dispatch, routing, and fleet maintenance.
- 7Drive customer satisfaction by ensuring service excellence and safety in daily route operations.
- 8Lead and mentor frontline employees to achieve performance and service goals.
Requirements6
- 1Bachelor's Degree (accredited) or in lieu of a degree, High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and two (2) years of relevant work experience.
- 22 years of relevant work experience (in addition to education requirements).
- 3At least 18 years of age and legally eligible to work in the country where the position is located.
- 4Valid Driver's License upon hire and maintain a clean driving record throughout employment.
- 5Willingness to relocate within the market area (Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina) upon completion of training.
- 6Physical ability to work in a mix of office and plant/field environments, including routine use of standard office equipment.
