Overview
You will own the Environmental Services (EVS) operations for a top-tier healthcare facility. This role directs a team of frontline associates, coordinates with hospital administration, and ensures cleanliness standards meet Joint Commission requirements. You will manage schedules, train supervisors, and drive quality outcomes across the department. What You'll Do9
- 1Establish and review standards and work procedures for all staff, ensuring compliance with OSHA and hospital policies.
- 2Plan work and staffing schedules to guarantee adequate coverage across all shifts, using Kronos for timekeeping.
- 3Assist in interviewing, hiring, and training new associates, focusing on EVS best practices.
- 4Orient, develop, and supervise all supervisory and housekeeping staff, conducting regular performance reviews.
- 5Conduct regular inspections of patient areas and public spaces, documenting findings in AESOP.
- 6Report monthly goals, accomplishments, and future plans to the Regional Director, using PowerPoint presentations.
- 7Provide ongoing education and training, including OSHA compliance and biohazard handling.
- 8Coordinate outside services such as pest control, window cleaning, and waste management, negotiating contracts with vendors.
- 9Serve as a liaison between administration and department units, communicating patient satisfaction scores and action plans.
Requirements7
- 14+ years of experience in support services, military, housekeeping, or facilities maintenance.
- 21+ year of supervisory experience in a service-related field with high customer contact.
- 3Proficiency in MS Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- 4Strong written and verbal communication skills for reporting and presentations.
- 5Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a high-volume healthcare environment.
- 6Knowledge of contract administration and office procedures.
- 7Demonstrated leadership and flexibility in a changing environment.
