What You'll Do11
- 1Lead the opening shift, setting the pace and standards for the team during the first 90 days.
- 2Run the shift huddle at 6 AM to communicate goals, assign positions, and review the daily checklist.
- 3Supervise Crew Members, providing coaching and feedback to improve performance and uphold uniform standards.
- 4Adjust staffing in real time, such as sending extra help home or enforcing breaks, to manage labor costs.
- 5Monitor food safety and labeling, ensuring all products meet Smoothie King quality standards.
- 6Handle guest complaints or issues on the spot, turning negative experiences into loyalty.
- 7Perform point-of-sale transactions, including upselling, voids, and refunds, while maintaining cash accuracy.
- 8Communicate operational issues to the General Manager, from equipment problems to inventory shortages.
- 9Delegate daily tasks and hold team members accountable for completion, from cleaning to stock rotation.
- 10Model the Serve to Inspire culture, demonstrating professionalism and a strong work ethic.
- 11Seek feedback from the General Manager to sharpen leadership skills and take on new responsibilities.
Requirements10
- 16+ months of guest service experience in a restaurant or retail setting.
- 2Proven ability to lead a team in a high-volume environment.
- 3Prior leadership experience, either at work or in school organizations, is preferred.
- 4Ability to work a day shift, including weekends, with opening availability.
- 5Must be at least 18 years old.
- 6Strong problem-solving skills and composure under pressure.
- 7Basic math and cash handling skills.
- 8Effective communication and coaching skills.
- 9Willingness to learn all essential functions of a Crew Member.
- 10No formal education required, but high school diploma or equivalent is a plus.
