Open Banking Software Engineer, API & UI Development
Overview
You will lead the development of Open Banking API services and UI components for a Global Financial Institution in Charlotte, NC. This hybrid contract role spans 12+ months and puts you at the center of customer-permissioned data sharing. You will join a team building industry-standard API solutions that power third-party integrations. What You'll Do8
- 1Design and implement Open Banking APIs using Java and Spring Boot to enable secure data sharing.
- 2Build responsive React UI components for the Open Banking channel, ensuring seamless user consent flows.
- 3Collaborate with product and security teams to define and deliver OAuth 2.0 and OIDC-based authentication flows.
- 4Write and execute unit and integration tests using JUnit and Mockito to ensure API reliability.
- 5Debug and resolve production issues in API services and UI applications within the AWS cloud environment.
- 6Own the full lifecycle of features from design to deployment using Docker and Kubernetes.
- 7Drive code reviews and mentor junior engineers on API design and RESTful best practices.
- 8Optimize query performance for large-scale data retrieval using PostgreSQL and Redis.
Requirements8
- 15+ years of software engineering experience with Java and Spring Boot.
- 23+ years of frontend development with React and TypeScript.
- 3Strong experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and microservices.
- 4Hands-on with OAuth 2.0 and OIDC implementation.
- 5Experience with AWS services such as Lambda, API Gateway, and S3.
- 6Proficient in Docker and Kubernetes for containerized deployments.
- 7Experience with relational databases like PostgreSQL and caching with Redis.
- 8Ability to troubleshoot complex issues in a distributed environment.
