On-Call Bus Driver/Receptionist, Senior Living
Overview
You will drive residents to scheduled destinations and staff the reception desk at Carnegie Heights, a Brightwater Independent Living Community in Las Vegas. As the first face of the community, you greet residents and guests, handle calls, maintain records, and ensure a welcoming atmosphere. You balance safe driving with front desk duties, supporting operations in a senior living setting. This role combines transportation, hospitality, and clerical work, making it dynamic and rewarding.
What You'll Do10
- 1Drive residents safely to and from scheduled destinations using company vans.
- 2Assist in planning transportation schedules to ensure timely service for community outings.
- 3Engage with residents during transit, making journeys comfortable and enjoyable.
- 4Monitor vehicle safety and report maintenance needs promptly to the operations team.
- 5Staff the reception desk, greeting visitors and answering phone calls with warmth.
- 6Maintain the Resident & Guest Register, keeping records accurate and up to date.
- 7Respond to security exit alarms and monitor entry points to ensure resident safety.
- 8Process payments for dining and community purchases using the point-of-sale system.
- 9Perform clerical tasks such as organizing office supplies and assisting with admin work.
- 10Coordinate desk coverage during breaks to maintain continuous front desk support.
Requirements10
- 1Valid driver's license and Brightwater driving authorization.
- 2CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire.
- 3State health and safety requirements met, including background check and drug screening.
- 4Experience in front desk, customer service, or concierge roles, with senior living experience preferred.
- 5Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with residents and team members.
- 6Ability to multitask and stay organized during busy reception periods.
- 7Familiarity with office equipment such as phones, copiers, and computers.
- 8A warm, patient, and professional demeanor when handling resident inquiries.
- 9Reliability for on-call shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- 10Basic math skills for handling payments and petty cash.
