Overview
You will own a caseload of K-12 students in Philadelphia schools, delivering Occupational Therapy services that build academic, social, and independent living skills. You will join a collaborative team of educators, families, and multidisciplinary professionals. What You'll Do6
- 1Assess students' fine motor, sensory, and self-care needs to create individualized treatment plans within the first 30 days.
- 2Deliver direct Occupational Therapy services in school settings, using evidence-based interventions to improve classroom participation.
- 3Collaborate with teachers and families to integrate therapeutic strategies into daily routines, ensuring carryover across environments.
- 4Document student progress and adjust plans to meet IEP goals, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
- 5Coach paraprofessionals and support staff on sensory and motor techniques to reinforce skill development.
- 6Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions to align therapy goals with educational objectives.
Requirements5
- 1Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- 2Current Occupational Therapist license in Pennsylvania.
- 3Experience working with children and adolescents, school-based experience preferred.
- 4Strong knowledge of sensory integration and fine motor development.
- 5Familiarity with IEP processes and documentation standards.
