Overview
You will evaluate, develop, and implement occupational therapy services for students receiving special education support, impacting up to 4 school sites. You will collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success. This role demands licensed OT status with prior school-based experience, covering both full-year and leave-of-absence assignments. You will own the full therapy cycle, from initial evaluation to IEP participation, and make a measurable difference in students' functional and academic outcomes.
What You'll Do8
- 1Evaluate students' motor, sensory, and functional skills using standardized assessments and clinical observation.
- 2Develop and implement individualized therapy plans aligned with IEP goals and educational objectives.
- 3Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to integrate therapy strategies into classroom routines.
- 4Maintain compliant documentation, including treatment plans, progress reports, and billing records, using district systems.
- 5Participate in IEP meetings, providing recommendations based on student evaluation data and progress.
- 6Deliver direct and consultative services in both push-in and pull-out settings across multiple school locations.
- 7Support students in developing functional, academic, sensory, and motor skills necessary for educational participation.
- 8Drive reliable transportation to assigned school sites and adhere to scheduled session times.
Requirements7
- 1Licensed Occupational Therapist in the state of Minnesota.
- 22+ years of previous school-based occupational therapy experience.
- 3Experience working with students receiving special education, including Setting IV programming.
- 4Ability to complete agency onboarding requirements and pass district background checks.
- 5Reliable transportation and ability to travel to multiple school locations.
- 6Commitment to assigned school schedules and contract durations.
- 7Good standing if previously placed within the district.
