Overview

You will own occupational therapy services for students across 2-4 Rocketship campuses in Concord and Antioch, CA, working 2 days per week (16 hours). You will conduct specialized assessments, lead IEP meetings, and deliver evidence-based interventions using OT expertise, focusing on sensory-motor development and inclusive support. Collaborate with parents, teachers, and administrators under MTSS frameworks. This part-time role offers monthly department meetings, weekly coaching calls, and quarterly evidence-based practice collaborations.

What You'll Do9

  • 1Lead specialized assessments for sensory-motor development and write compliant evaluation reports using OT methods
  • 2Attend IEP meetings to present assessment findings and collaborate on goals
  • 3Develop IEP goals, objectives, and intervention plans that align with student needs
  • 4Provide high-quality, evidence-based occupational therapy services across multiple school sites
  • 5Assist in implementing assessment recommendations and track student progress
  • 6Coach parents on disability understanding and inclusive practices for students with disabilities
  • 7Deliver in-service training to parents, teachers, and staff on OT strategies
  • 8Consult with administrators and educators on general and special education supports under MTSS
  • 9Coordinate with community agencies and maintain a compliant practice

Requirements8

  • 1Bachelor's or Master's degree in occupational therapy from an accredited program
  • 2Valid California Board of Occupational Therapy license
  • 3Experience working with elementary-age students (preferred)
  • 4Experience with students with disabilities: learning disabilities, emotional/behavioral disorders, autism
  • 5Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • 6Commitment to Rocketship's mission and ability to adapt in an evolving environment
  • 7Valid driver's license and willingness to travel between sites
  • 8Ability to maintain records and meet compliance deadlines
