Occupational Therapist (OT) Home Health, Los Angeles
Overview
You will own patient care for home health visits in Compton and nearby areas, delivering OT services to a diverse caseload. You will assess needs, design care plans, and collaborate with physicians and agency staff to ensure compliance with home health standards. This contract role offers $105/visit with weekly pay, flexible scheduling, and access to a mobile app for tracking. You will work with a healthcare tech platform that connects you to multiple agencies, giving you autonomy and bonus opportunities.
What You'll Do10
- 1Evaluate patient needs, design a care plan, and begin implementation within the first week.
- 2Communicate with the patient care team and adjust the care plan as needed.
- 3Coordinate community services to assist patients in meeting their goals.
- 4Deliver physical treatments per the designed care plan.
- 5Review and sign off on OTA notes, communicating with them regularly.
- 6Supervise patients handed off to OTAs appropriately.
- 7Collaborate with physicians and agency staff to implement the Plan of Care.
- 8Document direct patient services and coordination thoroughly in compliance with home health standards.
- 9Review caseload charts every 60 days to ensure compliance and assess patient progress.
- 10Plan discharges and manage a caseload of 1-2 patients per week in the coverage area.
Requirements7
- 1Occupational Therapy License in CA (required).
- 2US Driver's License or ID card.
- 3Negative TB test and physical exam proof.
- 4Auto insurance and CPR certification.
- 5COVID vaccination or exemption proof.
- 61+ year of home health experience.
- 7Comfortable covering Compton and nearby areas.
