Nursing Care Assistant I Project Sunshine Therapeutic Mobility Program
Overview
The Nursing Care Assistant I serves as a patient care support partner supporting the Project Sunshine therapeutic mobility program. This role focuses on assisting with patient mobility transport and engagement across multiple inpatient units. The position involves direct patient care and collaboration with nursing staff to enhance patient comfort and well being.
What You'll Do11
- 1Prepare patients equipment and supplies for procedures and provide manual assistance as required
- 2Obtain and record patient data for medical records noting and informing RN/LPN of information collected
- 3Administer treatment and personal care procedures including feeding bathing hair care and bowel and bladder elimination
- 4Participate in teaching activities reinforcing instructions from RN and/or providers
- 5Assist providers with physical examinations by helping position patients and changing non-sterile dressing
- 6Take and record vital signs record I&O and apply ice bags
- 7Turn and position patients set up and feed patients as necessary provide fresh drinking water
- 8Perform fingersticks for blood glucose testing document and notify RN/LPN
- 9Assist with admission discharge and transportation of patients
- 10Follow standard precautions and use personal protective equipment as required
- 11Clean assigned area stock and replenish supplies and equipment as required
Requirements11
- 15+ years building ETL pipelines with Spark and Airflow
- 2Nursing Assistant I credential from NC Department of Health and Human Services
- 3BCLS certification maintained through new hire orientation
- 4Working knowledge of sanitation personal hygiene and basic health safety precautions
- 5Ability to withstand prolonged standing walking bending kneeling stooping crawling and climbing all day
- 6Physical capacity to lift objects and patients weighing over 35 pounds with assistance or proper equipment
- 7Proficiency in documenting and communicating information using computer or paper tools
- 8Strong ability to follow oral and written instructions
- 9Experience with infection control procedures and safety protocols
- 10Knowledge of hospital layout and organizational structure
- 11Commitment to patient comfort and safety
