Nursing Assistant Neonatal Level II Nights Orlando
Overview
You will provide direct patient care in a 142-bed Level II NICU at Orlando Health Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women & Babies. You will support micro-preemies and participate in neonatal transport and ECMO programs. This role offers night shifts, shift differentials, and benefits from day one. You will join a Magnet-designated hospital recognized as a Best Children's Hospital in Neonatology.
What You'll Do10
- 1Assist patients with hygiene, mobility, hydration, elimination, and nutritional needs.
- 2Maintain a safe, clean, and organized patient environment.
- 3Take and record vital signs including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiratory rates.
- 4Document patient information accurately following Orlando Health policies.
- 5Recognize changes in patient condition and communicate concerns to the RN.
- 6Participate in handoff reports and purposeful hourly rounding.
- 7Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges.
- 8Process patient call lights and phone calls promptly.
- 9Transport items, equipment, blood products, and medications (excluding controlled substances).
- 10Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality at all times.
Requirements6
- 11+ years of nursing assistant work experience within the past five years, or completion of a Nursing Assistant or Patient Care Assistant Program.
- 2Current BLS certification required.
- 3State of Florida CNA certification, LPN license, or equivalent accepted.
- 4Graduates of an approved school of nursing may have no experience required.
- 5Medical Corpsman, EMT, or Paramedic training qualifies.
- 6High school graduate or equivalent.
