Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, Command Center
Overview
Own complex patient care and reaction management for the Food Allergy Institute’s Command Center, supporting a community of patients with food allergies. You’ll lead virtual and onsite teams, using proprietary tools like Pantaleon and Salesforce to enhance safety and outcomes. Work a Friday-Monday schedule with 10-hour shifts, collaborating closely with the Logistics MD and other departments. This role stands out for its blend of direct patient care, leadership, and AI-enabled technology in a pioneering food allergy treatment center.
What You'll Do8
- 1Manage and stabilize grade 1-3 reactions, triaging escalated concerns using TIP protocols and coordinating with the Logistics MD for follow-up and action plans.
- 2Complete history collection and ensure timely resolution, communicating next steps to patients and families.
- 3Document all interactions in Salesforce, Athena, and Pantaleon, maintaining clear and accurate records.
- 4Perform scheduled telehealth appointments and serve as Provider On Call (POC) for emergencies.
- 5Lead projects to improve patient care and support provider education, onboarding new staff and guiding complex clinical decisions.
- 6Collaborate with departments like Remission, Scheduling, and Billing to ensure seamless patient care and satisfaction.
- 7Assist with annual reviews of SOPs, Reaction Algorithms, and Template Responses with the Command Center Manager.
- 8Maintain schedule flexibility to deliver on-site clinic coverage, ensuring uninterrupted patient flow and care.
Requirements6
- 1Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
- 2Current California NP and RN or PA License with NPI number.
- 3Maintain PA or NP Certifications and hold BLS, PALS, and ACLS certifications.
- 4Demonstrated expertise in patient case management and medical software like Pantaleon, Athena, Salesforce, and HubSpot.
- 5Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
- 6Ability to work independently in a hybrid remote environment with high-speed internet and a professional home office.
