Nuclear Medicine Technologist, PET Imaging & 13-Week Travel
Overview
Nuclear Medicine Technologist will lead PET and nuclear medicine imaging for a 13-week travel assignment at a multi-disciplinary facility in Atlanta. You will perform diagnostic imaging procedures with a focus on radiation safety, image quality, and patient care, collaborating with radiologists and nurses. The role combines hands-on imaging, protocol adherence, and cross-team coordination in a fast-moving clinical environment. This position offers a defined term, onsite work, and competitive weekly compensation.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build diagnostic imaging studies for PET and nuclear medicine according to established protocols
- 2Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures ensuring comfort and safety
- 3Administer radiopharmaceuticals following established procedures and safety standards
- 4Operate and maintain PET and Nuclear Medicine imaging equipment
- 5Ensure accurate image acquisition and implement quality control measures
- 6Monitor patients during procedures and respond to needs with compassionate care
- 7Maintain thorough documentation of patient information and imaging orders
- 8Follow radiation safety, infection control, and patient safety protocols
- 9Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
- 10Assist with equipment troubleshooting and report technical issues when necessary
Requirements9
- 1Minimum 2 years of recent experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
- 2NMTCB certification required
- 3AHA BLS certification required
- 4Recent experience with PET/PET-CT imaging preferred
- 5Strong knowledge of nuclear medicine imaging procedures and radiation safety
- 6Strong patient-care and communication skills
- 7Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- 8Available to work Tuesday–Friday, 8:00 AM–6:30 PM
- 9Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify
