What You'll Do11

  • 4Maintain employee attendance records and handle personnel matters via counseling or incident reports
  • 5Review payment agreements wage garnishment and property lien actions
  • 6Evaluate delinquent cases for waiver inactivation or settlement offers
  • 7Reconcile case balances research payment discrepancies and authorize account adjustments
  • 8Assess MVA license holds to determine payment requirements
  • 9Supervise three to seven employees enforcing collection of deficient income tax cases
  • 10Conduct background checks and verify eligibility for employment
  • 11Ensure compliance with state and federal tax regulations during audits and collections

Requirements5

  • 1Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate with optional bookkeeping or accounting coursework
  • 2Five years of experience in tax assessment collections investigations adjustments or taxpayer services within revenue administration fields
  • 3Experience in sales and use tax income tax admissions amusement tax withholding tax alcohol tobacco tax or other authorized revenue levies
  • 4Ability to obtain substitutions for experience through associate degree or bachelor's degree with accounting focus
  • 5Proficiency in understanding complex tax laws and regulatory requirements
